SIXTEEN – The Troublemaker Diaries

Brought to you by the creative team behind “Fresh Meat” and “Redemption”.

Hamza Zaman delves into the seminal age of Sixteen with “Sixteen: The Troublemaker Diaries”. Sixteen is when all of life is seemingly a puzzle – the more so when you are arrested. Directed by Michael Whitney, produced by Seth Burrell and with an all star cast, this dramedy wades into the thickets of juvenile justice and asks the question: Is Sixteen old enough to be an adult?

Newly minted Dr. Neil Kalanathi joins the staff of a therapeutic institution specializing in troubled adolescents and led by experienced psychotherapist Dr. Rachel Stevens. As he hears more of their stories – and crimes – he begins to realize his years of training hasn’t prepared him for helping “these” kind of kids.

We invite you to attend the World Premiere of this full length play at Theater for the New City’s Dream Up Festival.
